Our Administration and Non-Profit Status
To ensure organizational longevity, Al Firdaws Islamic Community of Greensboro established a new administration composed of a Board of Directors and members. In line with its non-profit status, the administration holds regular meetings to ensure the vision and mission are being met.
The structure assigns each board member leadership over a specific team with defined duties and responsibilities. The Board and community have also adopted a constitution and bylaws. Al Firdaws is registered with the Internal Revenue Service under revenue code 501(c)(3).

Dr. Abdoul Mouhaimine Zeba
President
Born in Ivory Coast, Sheikh Zeba began his journey by learning the Quran from his father in Oumé. He pursued a specialized education in Islamic studies and Arabic in Bouake before moving to Ghana, where he earned a Bachelor of Art in Islamic Teaching and Ministry. After relocating to the United States in 2003, he completed his advanced academic training at the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana, receiving a Master’s in Islamic Studies (2018) and a PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence (2022)
Bame Diarrassouba

Oumar Dera
General Secretary
Dera oversees the administrative heartbeat of our organization. They are responsible for record-keeping, membership communication, and ensuring all organizational meetings are productive and documented. With a focus on efficiency and transparency, Dera keeps our leadership team organized and accountable.
Abdourahmane Coulibaly
Event Coordinator
Abdourahmane serves as our Event Coordinator, bringing our community’s vision to life through thoughtfully curated events. From large-scale galas to intimate community workshops, he oversees every detail of the planning process—including logistics, vendor relations, and guest experience. Their ability to balance creativity with technical precision ensures that every event is not only successful but also deeply impactful for our mission
Seydou Sawadogo
Treasurer and Finance
Seydou is responsible for the organization’s financial records, budget tracking, and tax compliance. They work closely with the executive team to ensure financial accountability and provide regular reports to our members. He ensures that our resources are managed with the highest level of professional care.
Adja Hassanatou Toure
Secretary of women affairs
Hassanatou serves as our Secretary of Women’s Affairs, acting as the primary advocate for women’s empowerment and inclusion within our community.
